Dose of Gratitude | Creative Director

DOSE OF GRATITUDE | 2020 | Creative Director + Project Manager

The Dose of Gratitude campaign was created in response to the fear, stress, and fatigue medical personnel faced during the early months of the Coronavirus pandemic. University of South Florida’s Provost activated a team of faculty and students to create a campaign to boost morale, starting at USF Health. I was chosen to lead the Dose of Gratitude campaign due to my experience in the field of social awareness design and I became project manager and creative director.  To execute this project, I collaborated with colleagues in the School of Art & Art History and the Zimmerman School of Advertising, led a team of three student designers, coordinated the production and distribution of these materials, and worked closely with Provost Wilcox. It is important to note that this campaign was created prior to consolidation and resulted in the successful collaboration between the St. Petersburg and Tampa campuses. I was able to work closely with Tampa faculty; K-J Mathieson, McArthur Freeman, and Kevin Hawley, all who contributed creatively to this project.

The Dose of Gratitude campaign resulted in two awards at the 41st Telly Awards (2020) in the categories of Social Impact and Student# for the University of South Florida. To provide context to the notoriety of The Telly Awards, they receive submissions from the likes of Harvard and Microsoft. The Dose of Gratitude short video was an official selection at The Lift-Off Sessions, Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom (2020) and was an official selection at the Direct Monthly Online Film Festival (2020).
